One of the main benefits of these contemporary awnings is that there is no hard wiring required and shading protection up to six metres wide and four metres out can be achieved with 2 solar panels and one battery unit.
The awnings look great and are available with a contemporary yet soft appearance thanks to its slightly rounded cassette which houses the fabric awning. The awning is a great looking and innovative way to add solar shading onto your property and has been awarded the internationally renowned Red Dot Award 2025 and the prestigious iF Design Award, a formal recognition for the perfect balance between innovation, aesthetics and functionality.
Integrated LED Lighting
Integrated lighting adds to the contemporary look of the Winsol awningsand creates a feature whether the awning is open or closed. If you want to add integrated LED lighting then a second battery is added along with four additional solar panels. This configuration ensures that your awning and LED lighting can function separately and optimally.
Dimmable LED lighting is available in the housing fixed to your property, in the folding arms which are visible when the awning is open or in the front bar of the awning itself. Opting for the LED in the housing or front bar will mean that even when closed your awning will add a decorative and modern feature to your property and will add ambient lighting during the evenings.
A wide range of colours & smart technology
The awning casing and bars are available in over 300 RAL colours which can be combined with more than 300 different sun-resistant nylon fabrics. Additional options include an integrated wind sensor that will close the awning in inclement weather and we can even add a sun sensor that will automatically open the awning on hot days to help keep your interior space cool.

Since 2007 we’ve championed large format glazing throughout properties, which when combined with the climate getting warmer does mean the building overheating needs to be considered also. Technological enhancements in glass does help combat this, but solar reflective coatings can only go so far. Blinds and screens are the best ways to reduce the summers powerful sun and this is why a solar powered awning is such an effective solution.
It looks great when closed but can be left open on warm sunny days to prevent the suns rays from magnifying through the glazing and into your home.
