IT HAS TO BE ALUMINIUM

The growing demand for inside, outside living coupled with flexible outdoor spaces means that aluminium is the perfect material for creating contemporary exterior spaces that can be enjoyed year round.

At Express, we’ve wholeheartedly adopted aluminium as our material choice for the manufacturing and installation of our entire bespoke product range. Aluminium is undoubtedly the most suitable material for luxury outdoor solutions because a pergola is 100% exposed to the elements 100% of the time. The inherent strength of aluminium ensures a lack of movement in reaction to hot and cold weather and because our pergola systems are 100% aluminium and we only use stainless steel screws we can guarantee that our pergolas will not rust or discolour and the structural integrity of our pergolas will not fail.

Smart Operation

Our bioclimatic pergolas arrived with a Somfy TaHoma home automation system as standard. This means that you can control your roof louvres, lighting, heating, music and more all from an app on your phone.

This intelligence software is compatible with all home automation software so our electronic pergolas will not only bring you and your family out in the garden, but your smart home also.

Wi-fi connection

The Somfy Tahoma does require a wi-fi connection to enable you to control your pergola from your phone, which is fine if the pergola is situated within range but even if not, we do have simple two options to bring wi-fi connection to the pergolas. We can install an external CAT6 ethernet cable at the same time as the armoured cable which provides power to the pergolas, this is something we can discuss and arrange at site survey. An alternative option is to mount a weatherproof IP rated box next to the external unit where we will install the Somfi Tahoma.

In short, you don’t need to worry, if you want wi-fi within your pergola whether in your house’s connectivity range or not, we have the solution.

Speakers

Portable and bluetooth speakers are perfect for our pergolas, you can source these yourselves or if you would like the full package, we can integrate the Herdio 6.5 400 watt outdoor speaker into your bioclimatic pergola. The speaker looks great is suitable for all weathers and perhaps most importantly offers full range high quality sound.

Heaters

We strongly recommend integrating heaters into our pergolas to allow you to use the space throughout the year. We offer two premium infrared heater options, the Burda IO heater which looks great and is fully compatible the Somfy Tahoma app. The Burda Relex glass is another great option along with the more cost-effective Herschel California & Colorado ranges. The latter three options can be turned on and off on the app also, but the temperature is controlled on a separate remote control.

The best CNC machinery available

We take great pride in our world-class 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Boasting more than 200 on-site staff, we manufacture all our bespoke products in Leeds, prior to delivering and installing them across Yorkshire.

The manufacturing of our products is born out of a love of British craftsmanship and is beautifully complemented by the best CNC machinery on the market.

Every single order that we receive is processed by our internal software system and sent electronically to our CNC machines. The machines then prep the aluminium profiles for our products, removing all human error and ensuring they’re cut, routered, and end-milled perfectly before being manufactured, checked, and packed by our expert staff.

HANDS ON AND HANDS OFF MANUFACTURING

Our small army of fabricators skilfully manufacture our full product range, assisted at every step by the best possible working environment and machinery. We’ve invested in specialist equipment for our custom-made products which includes handling machinery that means our staff don’t have to touch or lift huge aluminium profiles throughout the all-important manufacturing process or the installation itself.

AN Endless choice oF colours AND finishes

One of the key advantages aluminium has over other frame materials is that it can be easily powder coated by one of over 200 RAL colours and unique finished that we have on offer. And if that wasn’t enough, we also offer various woodgrain and textured finishes all of which can be combined with our range of accessories and roof louvres.

Our finishes are available in matt and fine textured finishes so the choice of colours and finishes is almost endless.

We can provide colour samples of some of the finishes directly, but we always recommend visiting our showroom to see various finishes displayed throughout our entire range of products.
