These homeowners were considering whether to move house completely but decided to stay, choosing to renovate their existing home and extend it in the least stressful way possible. It was these decisions that ultimately led them to visit our stunning showroom in Leeds where they immediately fell in love with the concept of having our bioclimatic Selene pergola at the foot of their garden rather than undertaking an expensive and disruptive house extension.
An additional and flexible space
Because they wanted to create another social space for themselves and for their kids to enjoy the homeowners opted for a large 6m x 4m bioclimatic structure. Visiting our Leeds showroom didn’t just provide the information they needed to purchase a pergola, they also took inspiration from the various displays within our showroom to dress and accessorise their new space by purchasing the garden furniture to sit within the pergola from ourselves as well.
Outdoor Living
We have partnered with the Garden Trading Company to offer the quality outdoor furniture that will turn our pergolas into an extension of the home.
The outdoor bar and drinks trough, Lynton sofa set, and log burner add a traditional and homely feel to this otherwise contemporary space. The outdoor furniture ensures that the new space can be enjoyed with friends and family and utilised as a tranquil solitary space to retire to at the end of the day.

Fixed glazing across the rear of the pergola
Due to the location of the pergola the homeowners decided that they didn’t need access from the rear of the space so screened this off with fixed glazing from our sister Company Express Bi-Folding Doors. This fixed screen adds more weather protection into the pergola and will help to keep the heat inside when the heater is on.
We have lots of options for the sides of our pergolas, but our in-house manufacturing capability means that we can also add full weather grade doors and windows into the structure as we have here.
Our Selene pergolas
We offer two types of bioclimatic pergolas, our Phanes pergola and our Selene pergola system, both are great products but our Selene model boasts more concealed engineering with built-in drainage, a silent roof motor and of course, all of the impressive extras that you would expect from a top of the range bioclimatic pergola.
