5m x 3m Phanes Pergola
The owners of this impressive stone-built property in East Leeds decided to carry out an extensive landscape project and completely overhaul their outdoor area and garden. The plans included a new lawn and patio area, with the same patio tiles to be used as a coping stone on top of a low wall that would surround and form the boundary to the garden. The focal point of the contemporary design was a curved raised area that would house an outdoor kitchen, lounge area with outdoor TV and a bioclimatic pergola to ensure that the fantastic new space could be used and enjoyed as much as possible.
A small two panel bi-folding door was also required to allow a clear walkway from the home into the garden and to allow a seamless connection between the two. With a clear vision in mind for their fantastic new space the homeowners visited our Leeds showroom and toured our production facility where eventually their new bi-folding door and feature pergola would be expertly manufactured prior to being installed into their home.
Elevated design
The exterior design is stunning and the curved steps leading up to the Phanes pergola is undoubtably the focal point within the designs. The RAL 9001 cream colour of the pergola structure is the perfect complement to the porcelain tile and the whole space flows with the various materials complimenting each other perfectly.
The pergola is strong and bold but the light RAL colour and various curves within the garden soften the design and give it a warm and contemporary feel that suits the stone-built house perfectly.
LED Lighting
Lighting is often a key element within any good design, and it’s demonstrated beautifully here. LED strips have been placed within the roofs rotating louvres and they generate a bright but warm light that makes the elevated space dominate the garden even more while making the space inside feel even more inviting. The main benefit of the lighting is of course the fact that the homeowners can enjoy their new outdoor living area well into the night and even the dark mornings in the winter.
Zip Blinds
The returns of the pergolas are both screened with automated zip blinds. The blinds are subtle with slender cassette housed underneath the pergola and the cream-coloured blinds can be dropped at the push of a button for additional weather protection and privacy.
Outdoor cooking & lounging under one bioclimatic roof
Our stunning Phanes pergola is a multi-functional structure that not only looks great but will provide shelter and protection for the outdoor products housed inside. The lifespan of the outdoor kitchen, furniture and TV will be preserved by our pergola which will act as a beautiful shield during the harsh UK weather while also ensuring the fantastic new space can be utilised year-round.
